Cookie Policy

1. General information

This Cookie Policy sets out the rules for the use of cookies and similar technologies on the website available at eshield.pl (“Service”), operated by Engineering Shield Sp. z o.o..

This document supplements the Privacy Policy and describes the actual manner in which cookies are used in the Service.

2. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files stored on the user’s end device when using the Service. Cookies enable the website to function properly, ensure its security and—in certain cases—statistical analysis of traffic.

Cookies are not used to directly identify the user.

3. Types of cookies used in the Service

The Service uses only a limited number of cookies, divided into the following categories:

3.1 Necessary cookies (functional and security)

These cookies are necessary for the proper functioning of the Service and do not require the user’s consent. They include, in particular:

• technical cookies related to the functioning of the website,
• security-related cookies,
• cookies used by the Google reCAPTCHA v3 mechanism, which operates in the background to protect forms and AJAX interfaces against abuse (spam, bots).

Without these cookies, the Service or its key functionalities could not function properly.

3.2 Statistical cookies

The Service uses the Google Analytics (GA4) tool to perform statistical analysis of how the Service is used.

• Statistical cookies are stored only after the user has given consent.
• Before consent is given, Google Analytics is not launched.
• Statistical data are aggregated and are not used to identify users.
• IP address anonymization is applied in accordance with the GA4 configuration.

3.3 Marketing cookies

The Service does not use marketing or advertising cookies.
No remarketing activities, profiling, or tracking of users for advertising purposes are carried out.

4. Google Maps

The Service may use the Google Maps service in the form of the JavaScript API to present the Administrator’s location.

• Google Maps scripts are loaded only after the user has given consent.
• Before consent is given, the Google Maps service is not launched.
• Access to Google Maps resources is additionally technically restricted by the Content Security Policy (CSP).

5. Managing cookie consent

During the first visit to the Service, the user is shown an information banner enabling them to:

• accept statistical cookies,
• refuse statistical cookies,
• change consent settings at any time.

Consent to statistical cookies is voluntary and may be withdrawn at any time via the cookie management panel available in the Service.

Cookies necessary for the operation of the Service cannot be disabled.

6. Content Security Policy (CSP)

The Service uses a content security policy (Content Security Policy – CSP), which technically restricts the ability to load external resources exclusively to necessary and explicitly permitted services.

As a result:

• even if the user does not give consent, external scripts are not executed,
• the scope of data processing is limited to a minimum.

7. Cookie retention period

Cookies may be:

• session—deleted after the browser is closed,
• persistent—stored for a specified period, depending on their purpose.

Detailed information on the retention periods of individual cookies is available in the cookie management panel.

8. Changes to the Cookie Policy

The Administrator may update this Cookie Policy in the event of technological or legal changes. The current version of the document is published in the Service each time.
